2009 National Fencing Championships wrapped up in Hai Duong
The 2009 National Fencing Championships closed in Hai Duong City on December 7 with two gold medals going to the Bac Ninh men’s team and the Hai Phong women’s team, respectively in the sabre and foil events.

After 6 days of competition, Hanoi took the lead the table with 6 golds, 7 silvers and 4 bronzes, followed by Hai Duong with 2 golds, 2 silvers and 4 bronzes and Hai Phong with 2 golds, 1 silver and 4 bronzes.

The Championships provided a good chance for the national team to select the best players and prepare for the upcoming international tournaments.
