2009 Thac Ba Discovery festival to kick off
The 2009 Thac Ba Discovery festival will be held from June 26-30 by the Yen Bai Provincial People’s Committee in an area near the Thac Ba Hydroelectric power plant, the first and biggest hydropower project during the anti-US resistance war.

During the festival, tourists will have the chance to go sighting on the man-made lake or participate in a boat race and a village festival of ethnic minorities.

Other activities will include a trade fair, a costume show and a sports and traditional art competition.

The festival is part of the tourism programme co-organised by Lao Cai, Phu Tho and Yen Bai provinces every year.
