2010 cyclo race promises great interest
The tenth Saigon charity cyclo race will take place at Dai Bac school in District 7, HCM City, on March 13 with many other associated activities.

With the theme ‘race for a green environment’, the race held by the Saigon Children Charity has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for poor children so far.

The race involves 8 laps around a statue of an environmentally-friendly cyclo – a distinctive cultural symbol of Vietnam. Teams in the race will ride on colourfully decorated cyclos to the cheering of supportive fans.

Spectators will also have a chance to enjoy relaxing entertainment at the VIP tent, cuisine village, coffee corner, outdoor bar and other recreational areas. There will also be an exhibition of vintage cars.

The entry fee is VND250,000 for adults and VND150,000 for students and children under 12. Children to the event will be served ice-cream and juices free of charge.
