Another Vovinam centre opens in Mexico
The Vovinam -Mexico organisation opened a new centre named “New Generation” in Alvaro Obregon district, Mexico City, on February 6.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Pham Van Que, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mexico expressed his pleasure at an increasing number of people practising Vovinam (Vietnamese marital art) in the country.

He confirmed that Vovinam-Mexico organisation has actively contributed to strengthening the two country’s relations.

The Ambassador said Mexicans will learn more about Vietnam’s land and culture through this martial art.

On behalf of Alvaro Obregon’s local authorities, Francisco Benitez thanked the Ambassador for his interest in social and cultural activities in the district and conveyed send his best wishes to the organization.

The Vovinam-Mexico organisation now has more than 25 centres in the country, serving about 600 people.
