The Asian Badminton Confederation (ABC) will organise a training course for Vietnamese coaches of youth teams late this month, said Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Badminton Federation Le Dang Xu.
Mr Xu, who attended the ABC meeting in Japan last week, said ABC greatly appreciated the progress made by Vietnam badminton in recent years and decided to organise an international tournament entitled Vietnam Open in Ho Chi Minh City from November 15-19.
ABC is expected to establish an Asia Training Centre in HCM City in the near future.
Last month, Vietnam successfully organised the Asian Badminton Championships - Robot Cup Vietnam Satellite with top player Nguyen Tien Minh securing the men's singles title.
