Bird flu stamped out in Soc Trang province
The chairman of the Soc Trang Provincial People’s Committee has announced that the bird flu has been eradicated in the province.

The bird flu has occurred in this Mekong Delta province since February and spread to the 4 districts of My Xuyen, Thanh Tri, Nga Nam and My Tu, killing 43,000 heads of fowl.

The provincial leader said this was thanks to coordinated efforts by relevant agencies to closely monitor and quickly control the situation that Soc Trang province is now free of the disease.
