Can Tho hosts Mekong-Japan Cultural Days
Preparation for the Mekong-Japan Cultural and Tourism Days is completed and Can Tho anticipates the opening day on December 2.

Representatives from Japan, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and Thailand have already arrived in the city and begun to visiting Can Tho’s tourist sites such as floating market and orchards.

These days will be filled with other activities, including ministerial talks on Mekong - river linking cultures and a scientific seminar on sustainable development of tourism in Mekong Delta region. There will also be guided walks and art performances to help raise funding for poor children in countries in the sub-Mekong region.

*** A cuisine fair under framework of the Mekong-Japan Cultural Days took place in Can Tho on December 1. The fair consisted of 20 stalls showcasing specialities from the Mekong Delta region, Ho Chi Minh City and the central highland province of Dak Lak. It aims to honour and promote culinary culture to domestic and international friends as well as develop tourism in the region.

The fair will run until December 5.
