Can Tho ready for Mekong-Japan tourism culture days
The southern city of Can Tho is full of festivity at the moment, with colourful flags and flowers, posters and decoration lamps. Streets have been cleaned up for the international event and many domestic and foreign tourists have registered to visit the city.

The festival will include a ministerial-level meeting, exhibitions, and seminars. There will be also a charitable walk with the participation of over 5,000 people.

The Director of the city’s department for Culture, Sports and Tourism Dinh Viet Khanh said the city has already set up seven sub-committees for organizing the festival together with the agencies of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

A local small trader, Nguyen Thi Bay, told VOV that she hopes foreign tourists will have a good impression of Can Tho City. Meanwhile, Tan Dat, a student from Can Tho University, expressed his wish that the festival will help Vietnam gain experience from the Japanese tourism industry.
