The five-day trade fair attracted nearly 2,500 businesses from ASEAN countries and China, displaying their products on 4,000 stands.
The total value of transactions at the fair reached more than US$1,600 million, up 3.8 percent compared to 2008. 136 economic co-operation projects were signed with a total investment capitalization of nearly US$6,500 million, up 1.2 percent.
The Vietnam pavilion has 192 stands put up by 110 businesses. On show are agricultural and aquatic products, food, leather shoes, household utensils, wooden furniture, and handicrafts, just to name a few. AS of October 24, all Vietnamese products had sold out, not mention to a number of trade and investment contracts being signed.

The Vietnamese Department of Trade Promotion said that although there have not been specific statistics, participating businesses have seem to have done quite well. At last year’s fair, total value of trade and investment contracts that Vietnamese businesses signed was US$350 million.
The seventh CAEXPO will be held in Nanning City in Guangxi from October 20-24 2010.
