The catwalk event will feature nearly 1,000 designs made with high-quality materials, including metallic fabrics in bright colours, and checked and striped patterns.
The event is organised by the consulate, the Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex), the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (Vitas), the Vietnam Leather and Footwear Association (Lefaso) and the Vietnam Fashion and Design institute (Fadin).
The two-day fair is an opportunity for the Vietnam fashion industry to show off its latest products and the talent of its up-and-coming designers.
More than 40 models from leading fashion agencies, like New Talent in Hanoi and HCM City, will participate in the event, as will make-up artist Anh Khoa and his staff.
The event will be held at the Consulate General of France in HCM City, 6 Le Duan Street, District 1. The show will be broadcast on Vietnam Television channel VTV9 later at an unspecified date.
