First satellite positioning station in central Vietnam
The Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment has launched a Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) worth VND12 billion in the central province of Quang Nam.

The 1,000W station is able to receive around the clock positioning signals from the US satellite system and outdoor antenna system with a 700km diameter of coverage.

The station will be useful for the development of the sea-borne economy and the management of natural resources and environment.

It will also help accelerate the drawing of maps to serve land survey and certification of land use rights in Quang Nam province and other central coastal provinces.
