French PM to pay first visit to Vietnam
French Prime Minister Francois Fillon and his wife will pay an official visit to Vietnam on November 12-13 at the invitation of his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Tan Dung.

PM Fillon is scheduled to hold talks with Mr Dung, meet with other Vietnamese leaders and attend a Vietnam-France business forum.

Discussions will focus on measures to promote the friendship and cooperation mechanisms between the two countries.

This is the first visit to Vietnam by a French PM since the two countries established diplomatic ties in 1973.
