Fresh bird-flu outbreak detected in Thai Nguyen
The Veterinary Department of northern Thai Nguyen province has announced that culled chickens raised by a farmer household in Tien Bo hamlet, Luong Son commune, Thai Nguyen city, are infected with the bird-flu virus strain H5N1.

Previously, over 100 chickens of this family died over a short period of time. All flu-infected poultry have been culled.

This is the second batch of poultry testing positive for the bird-flu virus discovered in Thai Nguyen province this year.
