Gold price tops VND25.85 million per tael for first time
This week witnessed a suddenVND1.95 million record rise in the price of gold per tael on the domestic market.

The buying price listed in many of Hanoi’s jewelry shops and banks was VND2.535 million per tael and the selling price was VND2.555 million in the morning of November 7. It went up by VND25,000 per tael in two hours and then dropped back to its starting point at the beginning of the day.

There was an increased demand for gold, however, customers only bought in small amounts for fear of the instability of its price.
