Great pride in CPV
“Taking great pride in its glorious 80-year past, the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) will continue enhancing its leadership role to assume the new tasks entrusted to it by the whole nation, said Party leader Nong Duc Manh.

Mr Manh hosted a reception for delegations from various mass organisations in Hanoi on February 1 in the presence of State President Nguyen Minh Triet, Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Phu Trong and many other Party and State leaders.

Delegates expressed their pride in the CPV founded by President Ho Chi Minh, which has led the Vietnamese people to win victory after another and has made a great effort in improving their living standards as well as in raising the country’s status in the international arena.

President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Huynh Dam said the VFF, together with the whole nation, vow to unite and to put implicit confidence in the CPV’s leadership to build Vietnam into a prosperous country.

Mr Manh praised the State, the NA, the VFF, the armed forces and people, including overseas for making great contributions to the CPV’s glorious victories over the past 80 years.

The CPV always persists in keeping national independence closely associated with socialism to ensure the goal of rich people, a strong country and a just, democratic and civilized society will become a reality, said Mr Manh.

The Party leader called on the entire people to fulfill the socio-economic tasks set for 2010 and make thorough preparations for the upcoming 11th National Party Congress.
