Hoi An celebrates 10th anniversary of UNESCO recognition

A Culture-Tourism week opened on November 23rd in the ancient city of Hoi An to mark the 10th anniversary of its recognition as World Cultural Heritage site by UNESCO.

The week, scheduled to last until December 5th, will include a series of activities such as a photo exhibition on “Hoi An past and present”, a display of artistic pictures by FIAP Duong Phu Tam, a seminar on “Hoi An Cultural Heritage site – a ten year review”, and “Hoi An’s movie week”.

Hoi An will be spruced up for an ancient gala night, with streets reserved for pedestrians and bicycles sight-seeing tours of Hoi An Heritage site arranged for foreigners and local pupils.
