Over 22,000 workers sent abroad in the first quarter
The numbers of labourers working in the foreign countries has reached over 22,000 in the first quarter of 2009.

According to the Ministry of Labour Invalids and Social Affairs, Taiwan (China) is the biggest labour market with 4,189 workers from Vietnam. Other large markets are the Republic of Korea, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Japan and Malaysia.

The Ministry has granted labour export licenses to 160 enterprises across the country.
