PM Dung receives outgoing Filipino ambassador
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung received the outgoing ambassador of the Philippines, Laura Quiambao-Del Rosario, in Hanoi on October 21.

Mr Dung acknowledged the ambassador’s contributions to strengthening friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and the Philippines during her term of office in Vietnam.

Vietnam wants to work closely with the Philippines to increase bilateral cooperation in all areas, including economics, politics, culture, science-technology and education for mutual benefit and for the development of the united ASEAN community, said Mr Dung.

He also said that the two countries should boost cooperation in conducting joint patrols at sea, assisting fishermen to seek storm shelters, developing aquaculture and processing seafood.

The outgoing ambassador promised to send Mr Dung’s proposals to the Filipino president and said that in whatever position she would hold in the future, she will continue to make further contributions to Vietnam-Philippines relations.
