Quang Ninh has great potential for development
Quang Ninh province should make full use of its potential and strengths to develop rapidly and sustainably, said Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh while visiting the province on February 8-9.

During his meeting with the provincial Party’s Committee, Mr Manh praised its effort to maintain a growth rate of 10.3 percent, reduce the percentage of poor households to around 4.5 percent and over fulfil the yearly target for construction capital by 70 percent. Mr Manh urged the province to help all economic sectors operate efficiently, to attract and make good use of investment and development capital, pay due attention to remote and island areas, step up Party building, and promote the movement to “Study and follow the late President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example”

Speaking to the staff of the Ha Lam Coal Joint Stock Company belonging to Vietnam Coal and Mineral Group, Mr Manh praised them for producing 43.7 million tonnes of coal that helped sustain the country’s economic growth in 2009. He hoped the group will draw the lessons necessary from the last year’s production to fulfil its targets for 2010.

Party leader Manh also visited Transport Construction Corporation 5 (CIENCO 5) and local people in Ca Xanh ward.
