Russia crowned Mrs World 2009
Seventy-six candidates from countries and territories worldwide took part in the final round and the coronation of Mrs World Pageant 2009 at the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Sport Hall on November 22.

Mrs. Victoria Radochinskaya from Russia was crowned Mrs World 2009. She was awarded a crown made of gemstones worth US$150,000 and a necklace of precious stones that cost US$20,000. She works in public relations.

The first runner-up was Mrs. Andrea Robertson, a professional model from the US.

The second-runner-up was Mrs. Hoang Thi Yen from the host country Vietnam. She works as a director of UBS in HCM City.

In the final round, the candidates competed in three parts, swimsuits, evening dresses and traditional customs. They set an impressive scene as they paraded on the catwalk with a burst of enthusiastic applause from over the 3,000 plus audience.

The organising board first chose the 12 best candidates, then the top 6 beauties from India, Poland, Brazil, Russia, the US and Vietnam before selecting the top three for the Q&A section.

The 76 beauties had sent 20 days in Vietnam playing golf, beach volleyball, cycling, doing charity work and sightseeing in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Hanoi and HCM City.
