Thang Long-Hanoi website launched
The official website of Thang Long-Hanoi 1000th anniversary was launched in Hanoi on August 11 at http://www.thanghanoi.gov.vn.

Editor-in-chief Pham Quoc Dan, who is also director of the Hanoi Department of Information and Communications, said that the website will supply people with accurate and timely information about Thang Long-Hanoi’s millienial celebration.

It will also introduce Vietnamese people and international friends to Hanoi’s 1,000 year-old culture and its remarkable socio-economic achievements during the Doi Moi (Renewal) period.

The website will be the official address for publicising activities in celebration of Thang Long-Hanoi’s 1000th anniversary and related historical research compiled under the direction of the National Committee for the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.

Hanoi will celebrate Thang Long-Hanoi’s 1000th anniversary on October 10, 2010.
