Vietnam and Japan’s defence officials meet
Defence Minister General Phung Quang Thanh received visiting Japanese Vice Defence Minister Nobuo Kishi in Hanoi on May 6.
General Thanh hailed Vice Minister Kishi’s visit, which, he said, would enhance mutual understanding between the two countries’ armies and people.

Vice Minister Kishi informed the host of the results of his talks with his Vietnamese counterpart, Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, on regional security, orientations for bilateral defence cooperation, and exchange of military delegations and experience in search and rescue activities.

While in Vietnam, Vice Minister Kishi paid a floral tribute to late President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum and visited his residence as well as the shock-troops division.
