Vietnam bags two medals in Asian Athletics Championships
Vietnam won one silver and one bronze on the first day of the 18th Asian Athletics Championships which are taking place in Guangzhou, China from November 11-14.

Vu Thi Huong from Vietnam’s northern province of Thai Nguyen took a silver medal on November 11 in the women’s 100 metres final clocking 11”50.

In the women’s 1,500 metres category, Truong Thanh Hang from Ho Chi Minh City came third

After two days of the event, the host country ranked first with 19 medals, followed by Japan and India while Vietnam was placed 11th.
