Vietnam willing to share experience with Mozambique
Vietnam is willing to share its development experience with Mozambique, especially in agricultural production, poverty reduction and education and training, said Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh.

While receiving Mozambican Foreign Minister Oldemiro Julio Baloi in Hanoi on April 2, Mr Manh stressed that Vietnam will do its utmost to implement agreements reached by the two countries’ leaders in the interests of their people and for peace, cooperation in development in Southeast Asia, southern Africa and the world at large.

Vietnam wants to further develop the friendly and cooperative ties with Mozambique, said Mr Manh.

He praised Mozambique’s efforts in maintaining political stability, peace and economic reform and expressed his belief that the country will make greater achievements in national development.

For his part, Oldemiro Julio Baloi expressed his admiration for Vietnamese people’s past struggle for national liberation and the current process of national construction and development. He spoke highly of Vietnam’s achievements as well as its increasing role and position in the region and the world.

Mozambique attaches great importance to promoting the friendship, solidarity and multifaceted cooperation with Vietnam, he said.

Earlier the same day, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem held talks with the Mozambican FM, who said that Vietnam is a bright example for developing countries, including African countries, to follow.

He thanked Vietnam for its assistance to his country, especially in agriculture, health care, education and poverty reduction and expressed his hope that the Southeast Asian nation will continue to expand cooperation with Mozambique to other areas such as tourism, construction, security and national defence.

Both host and guest appreciated the outcome of the first session of the Vietnam-Mozambique Inter-governmental Committee on Economics, Trade and Science and Technology in Hanoi from March 30-April 2.
