Vietnam wins tender to export broken rice
Vietnam has won a contract to export 150,000 tonnes of 25 percent broken rice at US$480 a tonne after the Philippine made a bid to buy 250,000 tonnes of rice on November 4.

The price of this rice on the world market is normally US$390 a tonne.

The Philippines, known as Vietnam’s main rice export market is expected to buy more than 2 million tonnes next year to ensure the country’s domestic needs.
