Vietnamese female players at ASIAD Doha
The Vietnam women’s sepak takraw squad has defeated their Thai rivals in a breathtaking final to become the new world champions for the women’s team event.

Vietnam’s regu (team) 1, including athletes Thanh, Thao and Thuy, quickly secured a 2-0 victory over the Thais. However, their Thai opponents made a counter-offensive and defeated Vietnam’s regu 2, comprising Linh, Trang and Van.

In the third regu competition, the decisive one, Thai players took an early lead but Vietnam’s Ba, An, and Bach Van successfully managed to reverse the situation and gain an overall victory of 2-1 for the team.
