Vietnamese encouraged to use locally-made goods
The campaign to encourage Vietnamese people to use locally-made goods has received positive response from the whole society and helped raise Vietnamese businesses’ competitiveness and production capacity.

This was stated by Vu Trong Kim, General Secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee at a conference in Hanoi on November 20.

Mr Kim said the movement, launched by the Party’s Political Bureau, has also demonstrated the people’s sense of responsibility to the new tasks of the country. Many local governments, ministries and party committees at different levels have taken specific measures to implement the Politburo’s resolution, he said.

At the conference, members of the committee discussed a series of measures to promote their campaign in the coming years, including more introduction and more guidelines. They will also focus on encouraging enterprises to raise the quality of their services and products, ensure reasonable prices and deliver goods directly to consumers, catering for various social groups.

In addition, members of the committee proposed relevant agencies take tougher action against trafficking and production of fake goods.
