Vietnamese women footballers arrive in Lao
The Vietnamese women’s squad was warmly welcome at Wattay airport in Vientiane by Laos’ SEA Games organising board 9h45 on December 2.

The women’s football event will kick off on December 4 with 5 teams including Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam and Laos playing in a round robin format to choose two teams playing in the semi-final.

Vietnam has a great advantage as they face the underdogs like Malaysia at their first match. They have defeated Malaysia six times with the latest record high score of 11-0 in the 2008 Southeast Asian Football Cup. They will later play Laos and watch their two archrivals Thailand and Myanmar clashing at the final leg.
