Vietnam’s best footballers to play at Old Trafford
Six of Vietnam’s top footballers will get a chance to join the Budweiser Cup 6v6 and compete on the Manchester United’s famous home ground “the Theatre of Dreams” as from May 25.

Vietnam’s “Dream Team” will compete against others six-player teams from 16 nations to win the World Cup 6v6 Champion title.

A series of contests to select Vietnam’s top club has been co-organised by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), and the Vietnam Football Development Joint-stock Company (VFD) with the sponsorship of Budweiser, the world most popular beer brand.

Vu Quang Vinh, deputy head of the VFF, said the tournament aims to develop the nation’s amateur football talent by giving its players a chance to compete in the international arena.

The competition is for amateur players over 18 only. The VFF along with the Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City Football Federations will select 64 clubs across the country to participate.

The organisers will announce the playing schedule for the 64 clubs in Ho Chi Minh City on April 16. The qualifying round will be held in Hanoi on April 18-19 and Ho Chi Minh City on April 24-25. The semi-finals and the final will take place in Ho Chi Minh City on May 1.
